Service Opportunity: Northbay SAA Google Ads Facilitator

We're looking for a volunteer to help oversee our SAA Google Ads campaign. This campaign helps newcomers find our website, so they can get to their first meeting.

At its core, this position is about "keeping the lights on." It requires about 30-60 minutes of work per month, including:

  • Monitoring: Logging in once or twice a quarter to ensure the ads are running and there are no account alerts.

  • Billing: Confirming that our payment method is up to date so the ads don’t lapse.

  • Reporting: Giving a brief update at our business meeting (or just emailing it in) every three months on how many people clicked through to the site.

If you have experience with digital marketing or just a desire to do more, optional but not required:

  • Optimize ad copy and keywords to reach more people.

  • Explore expanding the campaign to target different search terms.

  • Refine how we track "success" for those reaching out for help.

For the basic position, however, all that's required is a general understanding of computers and the internet, plus being comfortable navigating a website dashboard.

Email announcements@northbaysaa.org if you are interested and willing!

The small group model of sponsorship

As part of this event, we will also provide an overview of a new Step-by-Step Recovery Workshop model. This workshop uses a small-group model, pairing participants into groups of no more than three, creating a space for meaningful sharing, accountability, and personalized support. Each group meets weekly and is guided through a clear, week-by-week format with built-in materials, tools, and discussion prompts.

Come learn about recovery through sponsorship!

Pick up some service with area mentorship

Dear Members,

What Area Mentorship Is All About
Area Mentorship exists to strengthen the voice of SAA members and ensure our fellowship continues fulfilling its primary purpose: helping the still‑suffering sex addict. Areas were created so every meeting across more than 90 regions, has a way to participate in SAA’s democratic process through the annual Conference, where Delegates vote on matters affecting the fellowship as a whole.

Since the Area structure began in 2020, seasoned members have stepped up as mentors to help new Areas get established. Most Areas include 20–30 meetings within a geographic region (with some special‑focus exceptions). Mentors guide these meetings in forming an Area Assembly made up of GSRs (Group Service Representatives), ultimately helping each Area elect a Delegate who can carry their voice to the Conference.

Why You Matter!
If you’ve completed the 12 Steps, Area Mentorship is a powerful way to give back. You can support your own Area or help one of the many other areas still working to form their Area Assembly. You won’t be doing it alone the Area Development Committee provides training, tools, and monthly support meetings to help you grow into the role.

Ready to Explore This Path?
If you feel called to serve or simply want to learn more, reach out to info@saa-recovery.org and mention your interest in Area Development and Area Mentorship.

Stepping into this service is more than administrative work. It’s a chance to strengthen the fellowship, empower newcomers, and carry the message in a way that ripples far beyond a single meeting.

You’ve already done the hard work of recovery. This is a way to turn that growth into service that truly matters.
